Q: Is the AI830A compatible with the AC800M High Integrity (HI) controller?
A: The standard AI830A is not SIL-certified. For safety-instrumented systems, use the ABB AI830A with TÜV-certified SIL 2 assessment documentation or consult ABB for the appropriate SIL-rated variant.

Q: What baseplate is required?
A: The AI830A requires an S800 I/O baseplate with ModuleBus interface — TB820V2 (single), TB840A (redundant), or TB845 (extended). It is not compatible with S900 or S100 baseplates.

Q: Can channels be mixed between RTD and TC types?
